Currently looking into upgrading my build, initially was interested in the 4070 TI release but realized my processor could use an upgrade. I would rather then upgrade to a 4070 and use the extra 300 on a processors. I do understand that ryzen used the same socket and advertise its combability for future upgrades, I would only like to focus on a CPU that doesn't require a different motherboard. I am going to be streaming and creating content on this pc, as well as, gaming at 1440p. Thanks for the help!

Budget (including currency): 700

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: COD, Ready or Not, GTA V at 1440p but streaming on streamlabs OBS at 1080p. I currently lag while streaming games like Ready or Not.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800 8 core

GPU: RTX 1060

PSU:750 Watt

Memory: 32gb DDR4

If you have a 5800 you should’d upgrade to another AM4 CPU.  It would be of such little benefit.  Your 1060 is the thing slowing you down.  You could easily run a 7800xt or even a 4070ti with that, especially at 1440p.  Depending on what game a 7900xt may not be out of the wuestion, as plenty of people are using the 6800xts with 8700ks, which that 5800x is much faster than.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
