Budget (including currency): 1000-1500 (can go above if necessary)

Country: England, UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I've been gaming on on PC for about 5 years now and my last two pc's have both been pre-builts. I have since landed myself a Tech job which is also a main reason for why im wanting an upgrade (plus the fact its been about 3 years since ive had my current).

I play mostly single player games however i do also play games other big multiplayer games however i have never been able to experiance smooth high end gameplay which i would love, i do intend to want to play lost of newer games (as long as there good) which i belive is requiring more and more.

Due to my job i WFH most of the time so my PC is a major work requirement and i will need to multi-task as they say so having multiple software open, chrome tabs etc so ive been looking at/considering i7 13/14700(k/kf) or a good AMD alternative.

FYI : As this will be my first time building a PC from scratch i ahve been looking on PCPartPicker at such but not been able to find good builds to match or when selecting myself i constantly feel like i may be missing out choossing some parts over other, so any help/build ideas would be much appreciated.

I think we are going to need more detail about the software and games that you are trying to run.

Sorry about that

for games such as : Cyberpunk, Warzone, CSGO, RDR2, GTA V (ideally 6 too if it comes to PC) & New World

For work main reason im thinking to have good CPU & RAM : i use a work VPN to access a lot of backoffice applications and in-house software. More namely software would be things like VS Code, mRemoteNG also Adobe products like PS, Illustrator (little bit for personal use).

Hope that helps

Unfortunatly my job does not pay for the computer or any part of it, we are given a laptop to use when at home but its not ideal as i cannot have open as much stuff as i would ideally like to at once without it slowing down on preformance.

I've not came across any issues yet that may idicate i would need too?

I'm also aware of other people whom i work with that do the same as me for some things like chrome for example its easy enough to have a seperate profile etc.

Definetly something i can look into if it would benefit me more?

Thanks

Does your company's IT policy allow personal computers. At any company i've worked for that is a huge security concern and no allowed. If it's not allowed and something happens they could try to hold you responsible for any damages.

Personal computers are allowed as long as certain security processes' are followed (the work that requires VPN usage is done via work laptop) - Which have been (Plus it was confirmed with security deptartment at my company)

However, thank you for your concern.
