Does brand of M.2 matter?

Just now, Shimejii said:

This is just way to generic of a question. Cheap brands arent usually reliable, reputable brands also have duds. The M.2 has so many varied drives that this kind of question is pretty useless.

So... what is a good, yet inexpensive brand for M.2s?

You may as well give a price and youll get a specific drive not a brand.

What can I get for 1 TB under $125?

Not really.  For 99% of users they are literally all faster than they need to be, and a faulty product is highly unlikely.  You will almost certainly never even come close to the durability rating, and certainly not within the warranty period.  High-end models fail too.  The price discrepancy is mostly due to additional features that again, 99% of users won't benefit from, marketing, and logistics.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
