Budget (including currency): Looking at the PcPartPicker list and w/e makes sence price/value.

Country: Belgium

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Latest AAA games.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hello world

This PcPartPicker link is what I have in mind for a build. I would really like some second opinions on this.

Does it make sense? Am I missing anything? Etc.

First and foremost I have focused on the price/performance ratio. I also want to be prepared for the future.

I intend to buy it in the next few days. I'm also interested in buying the monitor that Linus really likes, the Alienware AW2725DF.

Honestly, I'm still not sure about the motherboard and SSD.

Maybe the motherboard is too much. And my idea with the SSD is that I can use the fastest M.2 on the motherboard and not worry about anything else. But I could be completely wrong.

I was also wondering if I shouldn't get an extra 4TB (or slightly more) hard drive anyway, to have extra storage capacity/backup for documents, photos, videos, etc.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Kind regards

MisterT.

Id get the Peerless Assassin or the FS140 and save the money you spend on the NH-D15 and you dont need to buy extra thermal paste, all decent coolers come with some paste.

And i would get a 850W PSU for the 7800X3D plus a 7900 XT.

For the SSD bey now it makes more sense to get 2x 2TB than 1x 4tb for price to performance

also isn't buying SSD with heatsink when the motherboard has heatsink for M.2 also a thing to look out for?

Hello world

People mentioned...
- Maybe reduce the number of fans.
- Get a higher watt power supply.
- Get 2x 2TB SSDs.
- Pay attention to the heat sink on the SSD in combination with the motherboard heat sink.

Thanks already for the aforementioned advise.

I still question my choice of motherboard. I may lose the wifi, rgb component and maybe it shouldn't be so high end or have so many slots. Could you please give me some more advice on this?

Thanks again.

Are you looking for super high performance? Or is there a real need for the robust I/O? Do you plan to do proper over clocking?

Most importantly, I want it to make sense with the rest of the build.

I'm not planning on overclocking, nor do I have any need for numerous I/O.

to be perfectly honest then you could save some money and back down to a B650 Board.

Technology is like a good friend that does its best to piss you off at every turn. yet we love them anyway.

Try something like Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX ATX AM5 Motherboard 190 Euro
