Description of the Issue: I recently built a new computer and have been facing persistent WiFi connectivity issues. Despite seeing available networks and attempting to connect, I experience no WiFi connectivity. It's worth noting that connecting via my phone's hotspot works perfectly fine.

Troubleshooter Details: The troubleshooter occasionally reports being unable to connect and, at other times, mentions issues with reaching the DNS server. No specific error messages are observed during these instances.

DNS Settings: I've attempted to resolve the issue by swapping between two Google DNS servers (V4 and V6). While there was a temporary improvement, the issue persisted.

System Specifications:

  • Motherboard: B650 AOS Elite AX
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 800x3D
  • RAM: 16GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo
  • Storage:
    • Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
    • Samsung 980 Pro 2TB (x2)

Graphics Card and Drivers: My graphics card is an RTX 4070 Asus TUF Gaming OC 12GB. I've recently updated my graphics card drivers to ensure compatibility and performance.

PSU Wattage: I believe my PSU is either 650 or 750 watts. I will confirm the exact wattage later if possible.

BIOS Version: My current BIOS version is SM BIOS 3.6, and I updated it recently.

Software Running: No additional software is running, except for default installations, which include Microsoft's default security software.

Previous Linux Dual Boot: I used to have WiFi working, and I recall successfully setting up WiFi during a dual boot with Linux. However, I have recently fully removed Linux.

Video Attachment: Attached below is a video demonstrating the issue and the steps I've taken so far. [VID]

If you could help me out, that would be great. Thank you. Also, if you need any other information. Feel free to ask.

Lots of folks reporting issues with this wireless card (Realtek 8852CE). Good news is looks like the latest drivers are fixing a lot of the issues. However, to start, make sure everything on the PC is up-to-date by following this guide:

ℹ️ There are four versions of your motherboard 1.0/1.1/1.2/1.3. based on your Wi-Fi card, you have a 1.2 or a 1.3 board. Use the guide to identify which one it is.

After you complete the guide, use these directions to update the drivers from Windows Update taken from here.

  1. Download the newest driver for your OS from Microsoft Update Catalog
  2. Extract everything in the .cab file to its own folder
(Double-click the file >> select all >> right-click, click Extract... >> Create a new folder >> click Extract)

  3. Install the drivers using Device Manager
(Right click Realtek 8852CE Wi-Fi 6E PCI-E NIC, choose Update driver, and browse to the folder you just created, click Next)

There is approximately a 117% chance I edited my post.
