CS2 random freezes

CS2 randomly freezes for me and then comes back after like a couple of seconds but my computer functions fine during the freeze, i was using discord and i was talking normally but the game like froze for a couple of seconds and then came back. this happens only in CS2. im using the highest settings on 2560x1440 and im using windowed fullscreen mode, not sure if this could be the issue.

SPECS:

RTX 4090 latest drivers

7950X3D

32GB DDR5 5600mhz

games and windows 10 pro on 980 pro ssd 1tb

 

im guessing its a game issue but its just weird and i wanna know if someone else encounters this preferably using the same settings, im not using any launch options btw.

temperatures dont exceed 60c on both cpu and gpu

7800x3D has been having freezing issues for multiple people. You can try disabling the Vcache cores and see if it goes away.

im using a 7950x3d, im guessing you mean both are similar so both probably encounter the same issues, i do have prefer cache enabled but shouldnt this problem be on all games?

correct. Both have been having pretty identical issues with stutters and such. Most up to date Chipset drivers from your mobo vendor etc.

 

Curious to see if you disabled the VCACHE cores and see if the issue went away, moreso just a testing thing for curiosity. If it works then you know something is wrong with the vcache core driver/chipset and youll have to wait for a fix.
