Thanks Linus I pulled the trigger

So I sat and watched while Linus reviewed the 2042 Samsung beautiful OLED displays and new right then my next monitor had to be a 32 in. I had a message that Dell was going to launch the new AW3225QF and I had to try and get it..........................well I got it!!!

Just a few questions before it comes in....

Best Windows Settings?

Its OLED so what settings I need to enable disable on the display itself?

System specs:

4090 Gigabyte OC

5800x3d

32gig ddr4 3600

current monitors(34 gigabyte UW 144hz)(27in 60hz ips)...Going to replace the 27in with the 34 uw and use the 32in Alienware as main display.

yeah it was basically a raspberry pi 4 model b 2gb. I do have a 4gb now cause the 2 gb one shorted out. Still love absolutely everything about that tiny computer as its the reasons i like computers so much now and the reason i know so much about computers and how to use them.

Happy gaming. Same, waiting for the ASUS model or equivalent cause I want the flat screen. Hopefully I'll have saved enough for one next year just putting aside £25 a week for a year.

Best discussion for these things is in /r/OLED_Gaming, lots of good conversation going on already there. Personally I would have aimed for one of the flat glossy versions but i'm sure you'll be happy either way.

Been gaming w/ a 4K OLED w/ HDR (the best part) for the last year so make sure you properly setup Windows for that and run the HDR calibration tool on the store.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

I would've waited until a few reviews are out, maybe even a few different models using that panel. A monitor is so much more than just the display panel, and there are so many things the brand can fuck up, especially HDR and fan noise. But still, i hope you'll be happy with it.

And no, the CES coverage doesn't count as a review.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Well I could have waited, I use a 34in uw CHEAP va monitor and any of the OLED's announced at ces would be a huge upgrade to what I have.

Even if every one of them is a huge upgrade i don't think it's too much to ask to wait 1-2 months to make sure you get the most out of your money. Still, just my opinion.
