In 4080S is gonna be pricy. GPU alone would like cost excess of 1300eur. Your 1500eur budget nearly gone up in smoke just like that. For 1440p I think a 500eur 7800XT should be plenty, leaving you with enough money to upgrade to a new platform, AMD or Intel. In theory AMD offers better suited CPU's for gaming. Then again going Intel would allow you to reuse your RAM, allowing you to save even more.

Plenty of routes to go down. Any preference?

Supposedly 1000€£$

Better than 4080 1200€£$

And faster.

Yea, my bad. Google is getting sloppy and returned back 4080's MSRP not 4080S's price. Still with VAT will be in excess of 1100eur but still with 400eur at best gonna be a tight squeeze. Only Intel is really an option then but not sure if PSU is capable enough. NVIDIA fixed power surging?

Consider this:

Lets you reuse RAM,

Reuse Storage,

Reuse cooler (if it's good enough)

Case (if it's big enough)

And we'd need to look into the PSU. You'll need a splitter if you've got enough cables and if power surging is fixed so the PSU can take it:

New PSU would look like this. Using a one cable solution so you don't have to use splitters. Make sure case is wide enough so you don't have to bend the cable at a sharp angle and make it short. If not you will need an adapter. Another NVIDIA headache.

https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/s226yg

Check that you don't need to order a new CPU mount since 9th gen intel for 14th.

Also make sure the case has enough airflow. Case looks chokey. Not only is your AIO gonna run hotter cause you've got a hotter chip but that 4080 will need more airflow to support itself as well. If that's still a shortfall you can still upgrade fans to bruteforce air through.
