Ethernet capped to 10mbps

I have been having this problem for a while, and I have tried everything. I have a B450 steel legend from Asrock and try to get more than 10 mbps, but it won't work. I check my Ethernet cable and have one with a Cat5, and my router is a Netgear R7000, which should be enough to get more than 10 mbps. I have upgraded my drivers, and even though I put the configuration speed and duplex in auto-negotiation and 1.0 gb full duplex, it is still not working. The speed is ok at the moment of gaming; I usually get a good ping, but the problem is when I download something because it won't go up more than 10 mbps.

10 megabits, or 10 megabytes?

 

Cat5 can sometimes struggle with Gigabit, causing the interface to drop back to 100 meg in order to have a reliable connection. Do you have a Cat5e or Cat6 cable you can try?

What is your internet speed?

If your internet is 120Mbps, you're never going to download from the internet at more than ~10MBps (b = bit, B = byte) no matter how good your Ethernet is.

10 megabytes, and i have two cable one that go to the wall which is cat5 and the one that goes to my computer which is cat5e

Okay, so you're getting a 100 meg(abit) connection through the wall.

 

Do you have another computer you can try on that connection?

 

Are all eight wires on the run inside the wall connected properly at both ends? 10/100 "Fast Ethernet" only needs two pairs, Gigabit Ethernet needs all four.
