Hey Everyone
I have not built a PC in a lone time and now finding parts for a new one for my big brother.
I have watched a lot of videoes and read articles about what the best parts is but cant figure out who to trust for sure in the end. Atm my specs sounds like this:
Case: Lian LI Lancool 216 black
CPU: Intel i7-14700kf
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
Motherboard: Gigabyte z790 aorus Elite AX
RAM: Corsair vengeance DDR5-6000 32gb CL36
SSD: WD Black SN850X 2 tb without heatsink
PSU: Corsair RM850e V2 (ATX3.0)
Then we are waiting for the 4070 Super to see prices and availability

He is not a fan of rgb more of low noise and just raw power for gaming without any trouble.
My problem is mostly that it sounds like AMD is better with their 7800x3d but also fear it can get problems like i have had with my 5800x.
Also stuck with the noctua nh-d15 over the H150i ELITE CAPELLIX XT cause i feel like water cooling vs air cooler is not to different to go for

He likes nvidia like most others and i have personally never tried AMD gpu's but the price on them really feels like a steal
So oh prophets of the internet what would u all recommend and why? Ill gladly take any feedback 🙂

NH-D15 is great for gaming on any cpu. What is the problem with your 5800x? Have not seen any problems yet for the 7800x3d it is highly recommended for gaming for its insane price / performance.

AMD gpu's have better raw performance indeed but in general Nvidia will have less issues and the better tech in terms of DLSS / ray-tracing.

I wouldn't get the RM850e if you go for silence, better get the RM850x or maybe a Seasonic GX-850 3.0.

Hello... I was looking over your list and I thought it could use some improvements. I was able to get you the most performance out of your budget. You has also said that you need a PC with no RGB and is Silent, well there is a Brand just for that, it's "Be Quiet!" I switched your CPU Cooler to the new Dark Rock Pro 5, the Case to the Pure Base 500, and a PSU all from Be Quiet!. The PC will be near Silent and have no RGB.

Also I do this for a living where I build thousands of PCs every year. I have never had a problem with AMD GPUs since the 6000 Series of Radeon Cards came out and that has not changed even with the 7000 Series. So for this reason I added the Radeon RX 7800 XT, a 16GB VRAM GPU. It will be much cheaper than the new RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB Model and be faster than it too. With NVIDIA all they have over AMD is Raw Power. If you look at Gaming Benchmarks you get near identical results for FPS in most Games.

Please let me know what you think...

The only thing id replace out of the list. 6400C32 can be had for a little more from other manufacturer and theyll be more reliable and slightly more consistent in gaming frametimes. Try looking at G.Skill Ripjawz S5 and Team T-Create Expert DDR5 at those speeds.

Atm i still have a black line that sometimes pops up at the top of the screen for like 1ms so hardly notice it and people only told me it's the cpu but idk doesn't bother me that much.

The biggest one was i had for a long time after i got it a problem with it suddenly froze and i had to restart the pc for it to run again and it was a weird freeze with me still being able to kinda do stuff but not completely like it kept getting stuck on a process when starting a new. Think i got it fixed atleast not seeing it anymore

He still refuses to take an AMD gpu since he never tried it and dont want any problems and for the 7800x3d i sadly heard they had a serious problem with it in the start as it burned/exploded, but im pretty sure it's fixed but still a concern
