Hello, i'm new to pc's and I wanted to upgrade from a i3-10100 to a 10700KF and wanted to ask what cables do I pull out the motherboard? Do i just pull out the 8pin and cpu cooler cable or do I pull out every cable there is out the motherboard? sorry if that's a stupid question I just don't want to brick anything lol. And also do i need to take the motherboard out the case or can I just do everything inside the case?

Only the cpu cooler.

If there's enough room in the case you can do it in there.

Make shure the PSU is unhooked from the wallsocket and drained. Push the power button after the PSU is unhooked from the wall socket.

What's the brand and model of motherboard and cpu cooler? 10700KF is hot and not easy to cool.
