New Build - No Boot

so are the new parts brand new or used? But yeah, a320m is on the lower tier, but for troubleshooting purposes, you can use it. Same with testing your 2600x on your ASRock b550m pro4.

I put the 2600x in with the new components and it still was no post and red lights on CPU and DRAM.

But putting the new processor on the old board posts and seems to be alive.

That 99% guarantees that it is the new MB, yes? If, so I will contact AsRock for a replacement or refund.

I just put together a build / upgrade of these specs:

ASRock b550m pro4

Ryzen 9 5900x

MSI Nvidia RTX 3060 12gb

Viper Gaming 2x32GB DDR4

Now it gives me the red light on CPU and DRAM.

I have tried different ram, reseating the CPU, different GPU and completely starting the build over in and outside the case.

I am fairly well knowledged in PC building, but completely stumped on this. Any help or suggestions is appreciated greatly. Thanks ahead of time.

Just to be sure, when you say upgraded to this. Meaning you upgrade to a new motherboard? If you still have the old one, have you tried using it? or what was your old specs, as you might need to update the bios.

So yeah, I could try to use the old motherboard, if it's one of the parts you change. Moving on, when you say you tried different ram, do you mean the pair of viper gaming or you have other rams(Probably the old rams, since you upgraded)?

Are the parts you upgraded to brand new or used?

Few of the things you need to check and troubleshoot for:
*DOA or defective motherboard

*DOA or defective CPU
*Ram is not compatible with the motherboard(very rare but it happens)
*Bios needs to be updated

The parts I replaced for the upgrade were the CPU, RAM and MB. The old ones were:

Asrock a320m hdv R4

Ryzen 2600x

1x16gb Oloy 3000mhz

I believe the old motherboard is too low end for a ryzen 9.

either the new board is DOA or you just need a bios update. The problem is that I believe, it does not have a bios flash back and you need a cpu. If you know someone who has a ryzen 3000 series that you can borrow, you can try that as well. Much faster than RMA. Which also one of the reason why when it comes to pc, most of the time if the price is the same or close to, I always prefer buying from a physical store or those that has one near me. So any time I needed something, I can just drive the same day and come home with the replacement.

The 2600 should work out of the box. The fact neither cpu boots basically tells you it’s the mobo or ram. OR it’s taking a LONG time to memory train. Stick the new system back together, turn on the power and walk away and do something else for 10 minutes.

Try the old ram too in the new board just to rule that out.

I have tried letting it sit. I have also tried the old RAM. I think I have narrowed it down to the MB.
