What should i upgrade?

I want to upgrade my pc, why? because i want to be able to run higher frames on fortnite, cod, and minecraft, and also run story games at atleast medium settings with 80+ frames.

the only issue is i dont know what to upgrade, i was thinking gpu but idk, id appreciate any advice.

That CPU won't even bottleneck a 4090!

GPU upgrade and you are good to go, rest of the system is top notch

No problem   I got the same CPU paired with an RTX 4080 and I'm having a fantastic gaming experience. 

What GPU did you have in mind if you were to upgrade?

4070 or 4070ti

Those are both excellent GPU's to pair with your system. Nvidia to reveal the 4070 Super, 4070 ti Super and 4080 Super next month at CES, January 8th. Maybe wait until then to see if prices of the original 4070 / 4070 ti drops Ooor if you want the new Super variant.

No Problem   It probably won't release that day but it will be announced and should release very close to that day.  4070 ti Super to have 16GB of VRAM.

It probably won't be covered on any mainstream channels but RedGamingTech on Youtube should have a video up right after the announcement.
