External SSD for Backup

I am looking for a new 2Tb external ssd for my Time Machine backup.

I do have a 1TB Sandisk that fortunately has not died like so many others did, but I think I will skip Sandisk this time even though I liked the form factor with the little loop thing.

 

Any recommendation for drives that are trustworthy in build quality and module reliability? The two I stumbled over are the Samsung T7 and Crucial X9/X6 (the later one only bc it is really cheap). I did have two crucial drives fail me in very strange ways when SSDs were still a new thing and since then I did not trust the brand anymore, maybe I should give them another chance?

 

Happy for any hint or recommendation.
