Problems with Plex Remote Access

Hello friends

 

So I put up a plex server at a Win11 pc, works great locally and all that. The issue comes with trying to use it remotely, it is stuck on the Relay and will not see the server's direct connection to it. 
I have tried every possible solution I can think of


The router is a Zyxel EX3301-TO provided and maintained by my ISP. I have tried port forwarding on the router and windows, I have tried UPNP and UPNP NAT-T plus PCP, I even tried turning off firewalls for both pc/router for a minute trying to access it, nothing. Plex will not detect it remotely.


I called the ISP, they said and I quote, "It looks like it has to do with the IP you get from us that is preventing you from opening the server" and then posted a new ip for me but I never got that new IP. My WAN IP on the router is also different from my public IP.

 

I hope you guys can help me because I am going insane. I can access it locally without any problems, even streaming it locally. But not remotely without going through the relay.

When you say Plex Remote Access, are you trying to remote into the PC that Plex Server is running on?

 

Forgive me if you're doing more than I, as I just use the Plex app on my phone for remote accessing the server.  I don't remote in via another PC at all.

No, I am using the app and friends are using the app or browser aka plex.tv to access it remotely though for me its local but for them its remote with relay
