Help on Whether it will Work

Go to solution Solved by Wzyss,

Everything here looks good to me -- long as yer not asking me if it's good price-wise. I've been out of the loop on that and the market lately doesn't make it easy for anyone!

Do note that the motherboard you've listed may need a BIOS update in order to support the Ryzen 5 5600. This can sometimes be a deal breaker if you have no means of updating the BIOS. Good news though, it seems this board does have Qflash so that shouldn't be an issue. Multiple reviews state that the board worked out of the box for their Ryzen 5 5600s, so you may also be in luck there.

My only other note is that I'm unaware of who that PSU manufacturer is, and personally for me, I stick with more well-known brands and strive for Gold rating or higher. If there's anything I've learned about PC building, you never cheap out on the PSU! I've been burned by that. Quite literally.

Budget (including currency): AUD 1200

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games (Sea of Thieves, Age of Empires and Red Dead Redemption)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I am upgrading from nothing and am hoping to buy soon. Not sure if I would like to play at 1080p or 1440p. 60H refresh rate maybe but not sure.

Parts List

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 with Wraith Stealth

AMD Radeon 7600

Phanteks Eclipse P200A D-RGB Tempered Glass Case (I don't need anything flashy.)

Gigabyte A520I AC Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance  LPX 3600mhz

Apevia ATX-ES600-WH

APNX FP1 PWM ARGB 120mm Fan Black (Extra fan for exhaust)

Samsung 870 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Not sure of the operating system or how to get it. Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction?

No peripherals needed

Thanks 🙂

Sorry to ask more but I am finding it hard to decide on a motherboard that fits with everything. I don't know how to compare what is better and would you mind maybe suggesting a website that could help with that? Thanks

Have you looked at pcpartpicker before? It's a vary helpful site that can put together entire builds and checks compatibility for you.
