I need advice on sticky switches and flashing LEDs

Go to solution Solved by OhioYJ,

As for them sticking if something got spilled on them or in them, it might be hard to clean them completely without taking the switches apart. After completely cleaning them with alcohol you may need to apply lube to them. Depending on the type of switch will depend on where and how much.

Personally it sounds like replacement switches are in order. Switches are relatively cheap, so trying a switch or two to see if it fixes the issue isnt a big deal if it's a keyboard you like. It's what I would try first. Honestly I would replace the switches rather than taking them apart even.

I have a Corsair Strafe RGB mk.2 with some sticky switches and some flashing LEDs; two separate problems on the same keyboard with only a couple keys being affected by both issues. I tried cleaning the sticky keys with isopropyl alcohol, which worked at first, but it didn't stay fixed for long, and I haven't tried anything for the flashing LEDs. Should I try cleaning them again, using lubricant, or should I just replace the switches outright? Thanks for advice.
