Theoretically, yes but it would depend on a variety of factors like if the pinout arrangement changed or if there are any software or hardware limits that block proper function of the screen. I would ask support because it wouldn't be a question any normal tech geek could answer. 

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?
