Computer won't post

Go to solution Solved by NikolakiH,

Well there are a couple of options to try. You could try booting with only a single stick [of memory] in the farthest slot from the CPU. You could also try using the motherboard's BIOS flashback feature to flash the latest bios.

I just upgraded from a 5800x3d to an 7800x3d and it's not posting. The motherboard is a asus b650m-a csm 32gb ddr5 g.skill trident 6000 cl30 38 38 96 with a rx7900xt. I upgraded the bios I reconnected mb power cpu power reseated ram. Also reinstalled the cpu.

When I turn it on everything lights up my fans gpu and ram (ram lights up a couple seconds after everything else. My guess is bad cpu if there's anything I might of miss or have an idea much thanks.

AND HAPPY HOLLIDAYS 🙂

have you rebuilt outside of case and just used the minimum for it to boot, even no drives

make sure cooler not to tight or to lose

try 1 stick of ram in each slot

no bent pins in socket?

all cables fully connected both ends psu/mobo

Got it working with one ram stick in furthest from cpu and it finally posted then put the other stick in still works 🙂 but for some reason it's running dog slow instead of gaining 10-20 % more fast I am getting the opposite it's much slower then my 5800x3d
