nope i just moved the computer and it now recognizes it, the chinese cooler probably didn't put even pressure on the cpu

I have a p6t deluxe v2 paired with a x5680 and my motherboard since the cpu change(i7-930-x5680) my motherboard can't access memory in the last 2 slots (c1-c2)

I tried cpu-z it recognizes them fine, HWinfo seems to recognize them as well.

I decided to resit the cpu and checked for bent pins and I haven't seen any.

Is There anything I can do?

Wipe the ram sticks

Wipe the back of the cpu

Spray the ram slots and cpu socket with 99% IPA

with my i7 930 and 950 sometimes when i leave em for too long on my desk or some other dirty place and put them in my giga x58a ud3r some of the ram slots outright break, worst instance of this was when i was first toying around witth this mobo and only the 2nd slot was working with all the other slots being basically dead but they do detect in cpuz just that taskmanager wont detect em

5x1 "dual" channel with 1gb recognized in taskmanager as 2900mhz

Thought the board was fucked and i needed to dunk the thing in water to deep clean but happened to have an i7 930, put it in, and voila the other slots are now working again, wiped the back of the cpu with some 99% IPA and now the other slots work again on the 950, sadly lower end giga board and its pretty meh with 2dpc so it wont even post >2600 with 2 dimms in a single channel iirc

Judging by the cpu change looks like you just need to wipe the back of the cpu with some 99% IPA or whatever alcohol and the other channels will work again

And fyi x/e xeons are locked to 10x ram multi so dont expect to hit the ram speeds im hitting here unless you somehow manage 290bclk, even with a w xeon or gulftown i7 youll still struggle to hit the speeds im hitting as asus forces a 1 : 1.5 uncore memclk ratio where i can set a 1:1 ratio with this giga board hence the speeds i can hit

but asus does seem to have a decent 2dpc topology judging by my gaming build that is still yet to be sold with 6x4 ddr3 clocked at 1900mhz with 3200 uncore at 1.42v (would run higher uncore but seems unstable even if i push >1.5v vtt/qpi), can do higher speeds but board is a trash sample p6x58de and wont bclk for shit, so you should still be able to hit 2000-2200 depending on bclk, pretty easy to do ram overclocks on x58 considering ive already managed to stabilize 2800 on 2 double sided cfr sticks with my x58a ud3r and i7 930/950 without much hassle (aside from trying to get 3000 only to realize my sticks are trash and can only do 2800 stable at 2.1v but hey only needs 1.5v instead of 1.6v vtt/qpi)

nope i just moved the computer and it now recognizes it, the chinese cooler probably didn't put even pressure on the cpu

What chinese cooler tho

I have a 92mm alseye eddy 90b on my still yet to be sold gaming pc and it can suurprisingly cool my x5650 even if i run it at 4.2ghz only hitting 92c ish on prime95 smallest ffts, though i really need to sell that thing off as the boards a trash sample and wont bclk for shit (p6x58de) and im not interested in crappy asus boards that wont clock rams for shit either due to the forced uncore memclk ratio

Mounting pressure can do some odd things but ive only seen that when i overtightened a 775 copper core onto an i5 750 with some zipties
