Fan Controller Issue, PLS help!

Hi Everyone.

i built this PC many years ago:
Z77 Sabertoothi7 3770K (De-lidded)
1080ti
Full customer EK watercooling.
 

All 4x Fans have been connected through a Corsair Fan Controller, with the LINK Software.
i have been out of the PC mod game for awhile, but from what i can tell LINK is now obsolete & everyone is using iCUE software instead.WELL at some point in time my Fan controller is no longer showing up in any software. the fans are running but they cant be controlled. ( i have tried a few different software & none are able to actually see the fans or temp sensors).
 

I have tried plugging in the corsair fan controller into the other free USB 2.0 MOBO connector & still no difference.
 

How do i go about diagnosing this? if its a MOBO issue or a fan controller issue?I guess worst comes to worst, i can just plug the fans back into the MOBO all together?
