I just upgraded my Ryzen 5 2600 and RX 5700 to a Ryzen 7 5800X and RX 6700 XT. I have a B450 Motherboard, but I’ve read that it is compatible with Zen 3 chips. It didn’t work and I started troubleshooting, eventually narrowed it down to the cpu being the only suspect. I put in the 2600 and M-Flash updated the BIOS to version 1.2.0.7. I took out the old chip and put in the new one, and again, disappointment. I checked for bent pins and missing pins, there are none. I made sure the arrow was the correct way, it is.

Currently my specs are:

  • MSI B450 Tomahawk
  • Ryzen 7 5800X
  • NZXT Kraken X73 Cooler
  • 4 x 8 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200
  • Radeon RX 6700 XT
  • Corsair RM 750 80+ Gold
  • 2 x 1 TB SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

So is it still booting ok with the 2600 in after bios flash? with your new card in...clear cmos

try just 1 stick of ram at a time

try another flash latest bios.

I would remove everything not need for boot to bios, so only board/cpu/1 stick of ram
