A few changes. You want a locked i7 for that B760 board so you don't suffer thermal throttling and that RAM is going to be a bit of a bottleneck for any gaming. The 980 Pro has less bugs than the 990 .. something to consider.

you can save a decent bit if you do the custom combo that newegg is offering, you only have a few days before the deals are over. don't wait too long. i would also consider doing the combo with a 7900X3d, it currently comes with free ram and is only slightly more than the one you have above.

Would you recommend that I get a different Motherboard to work better with the current cpu? Also is the water-cooling not necessary?

The Z790 boards usually have a 14 / 16 + 2 power phase design suited for the unlocked cpu's but tbh the locked cpu's do the job. A dual tower air cooler will suffice but seeing how you're running blender you might want to look into an AIO if you go with a unlocked cpu. The Deepcool AIO's are well priced.

Choosing a different gpu that's not unlocked would you still recommend a water cooler and which?
