I am looking to upgrade my current GPU (The Rtx 3070 Ti) because I've had it for a while and the prices of GPUs have gone to an all-time low where I live
Currently, my 2 choices are:
The Rx 7900XTX Taichi White OC for 2167 BGN /1220USD
and The Rtx 4080 Gainward for 2381BGN/1340USD
I mainly play games but I am thinking of slowly trying to become a content creator and i can't make the choice of which GPU will suit this pursuit of mine better
Keep in mind I live in Bulgaria 😃

*EDIT*

found an rtx 4080 for 2298.96BGN/ 1290.90 USD
and an rx 7900xtx for 1986.54BGN/1115.47 USD

If you plan on streaming/editing, I'd probably get the RTX 4080, especially if its that close in price to a 7900 XTX.

Builder/Enthusiast/Overclocker since 2012 with a focus on SFF/ITX since 2014.

Are these the cheapest RX7900XTs and RTX4080s? There is no point buying OCed cards as the performance difference is typically minimal compared to the price difference.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

With only $100 difference get the 4080

But the Taichi 7900XTX is a top tier one you should see some XFX or Sapphire at better prices (in France they're around 1000EUR  now)

What kind of content creation? The 7900 XTX performs very well in davinci, for example, but not great in blender:

This video includes the 7900 XTX, 4080 and sometimes the 3070 Ti:

Those prices seem more "reasonable". As for which to get, I'd be very tempted with the 7900XTX at nearly $200 cheaper.

Gaming performance and Adobe Premiere performance is comparable between the 2 cards and the 7900XTX wins in DaVinci Resolve. You do lose DLSS (FSR is almost as good) and you lose a few points of raytracing performance, but traditional rendering is better and you'll get more Vram (although I suspect that both cards have enough that you won't have any issues before it is time to upgrade).

The biggest issue would be losing NVENC, which might reduce streaming quality. This would be worth looking into before you make a decision.
