Minecraft Cloud Server
So, I had a whole long post typed up about how I wouldn't recommend a general cloud provider for Minecraft, and you should really go with a Minecraft-specific host because reasons, yadda yadda yadda, and then I looked closer and saw that this Oracle Cloud business is for free. Wow, that's a lot of server for Oracle to be giving away. They must be really desperate for customers.
Anyway, that guide looks fine, and it's certainly the most RAM I've seen offered for free aside from limited-time trials. Depending on usage, though, you might find the CPU performance somewhat limiting. Minecraft in particular is heavily dependent on single-threaded performance, and server CPUs generally (and ARM ones in particular) don't tend to do as well on that metric as consumer CPUs. Minecraft-specific hosting services typically build their machines with consumer CPUs for that very reason. But if you just want a world to play around in with a few buddies, it's probably fine.
