700w psu w/ rx7900xtx & i9-10900f

Marcii

As in the title, you can basicly see my setup, and I was wondering how my psu can handle such high wattages, despite only being a 700w one

I have heard other ppl only managing to use the rx7900xtx sapphire nitro+ card with a 1000w psu minimum.

Isnt this a safety hazard? Cant this damage the psu? I dont think im drawing more than 650W (cpu, gpu, water cooling, ram, etc)

There are only a few decent 700w units and a lot of junk. What's the brand and model of your 700w PSU?

A group regulated unit. That's not running well with recent GPUs because of the terrible voltage regulation and high transient response time. You have to replace it.
