PC build- help needed

Hi. I'm building a new PC and have been looking for help on whether or not I'm wasting money(ei are there better components for that price) here is the PCpartspicker list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Tyy7vj

The only things set in stone are motherboard and case since I already own them

Can you tell us what you're going to use it for?  Games, productivity?  Resolution used?

 

Budget?

 

There is a template for this, btw.  In the forum you just used.

 

Short list:  RAM and SSD need changing.  RAM is way too high latency, get CL30.  SSD is 50% more expensive than it needs to  be, if you want to save money.

looks pretty good, Id suggest you look a little more for the ram though, you can get the same stuff same speed but much better CL for $3 to $4 more, for instance

This is the same thing but CL 30 and also AMD expo compatible, it will be faster plus already tested for its full speed with AMD

That's why I posted pc part picker list... budget would be around 1000-1300 since 'm locked into a motherboard... basically I was looking mostly if I needed to change anything other then cpu since everyone is telling me it's the best gaming cpu... resolution is 1440p

Price seems higher on the total there but that AIO is probably close to 100 dollars and not listed in the price so, better RAM, and a different cooler (can go RGB for an extra $2 if you want) for about or just under 60 quid less than original total

Look at a 7800XT or a 6950XT as well, more VRAM, with similar performance.

Tell me about it... I'm croatian so most of the stuff I'll order is from amazon.de because shipping fees to Croatia from outside EU are insane

I don't understand the top tier best SSD on the planet recommendations everyone does.  It's $40 more than an SSD you can't tell the difference of and gives 0 benefit for.

 

Use that savings on a better cooler or a better case.  Airflow matters.

Definitely will... just put 4070 there for reference around what type of performance I'm looking for since I have 3060ti and I'm probably gonna hold onto it for a few months longer

I honestly put it there because it's samsung and from my personal experience they're reliable. Bit if you know of something else I'll gladly listen

Oh i just didnt change it as i wasnt sure of the availability of what was in his area, i do agree, something else would be just as good and much cheaper

Literally any other drive will be indistinguishable performance wise.  SSD's are paper fast.  Real world not as much.  

 

If you put in this Gen 3 Silicon Power, you couldn't tell any difference even with benchmarks.

Yeah EU is always slighly more expensive bacause of VAT... but nothing compared to Croatia... This is the cheapest 4070 I found here(7800xt is more expensive)
