Budget (including currency): ~$3,000 USD

Country: The late great USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly Gaming (I just want to run cyberpunk, GTA6, PoE, Team Fortress II) and also some CAD modeling & simulation software

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I've been laptop gaming for ~10 years, and this would be my first PC build. I'm looking for any advice or recommendations on how to optimize the build.

>> CPU - I'm biased towards the Ryzen 7800X3D. I've heard it's optimal for games like microsoft flight sim

>> Case - I like the corsair 5000D airflow, but alternatives are welcome

I also need accessories, so any recommendations on monitors / keyboards would be awesome as well. Thank you, Thank you.

Damn this space can fit a 5090 (just kidding, it needs more)

7800x3d + 4090 + 32gb 6400c32

Cut a bunch of uneccesary spending (aio, case, ssd, board, rams) in exchange for a 4090 alongside some upgrades to the rams and ssd

If your cpu cant run the rams at 6400 then drop it down to ~6200 which should be as simple as changing one setting (ram multiplier), you could also run desync fclk or whatever the term is now for these new ryzens and try for 8000 but might be abit of a pain to try hitting those speeds so wouldnt reccomend unless you are doing it for fun and you are fine with being driven insane

Not a peripherals guy so unsure about peripherals but @filpo seems to have reccomended some good ones
