IMO the 12400F isn't as good a deal as a 5600 atm.  The 5600 is cheaper (plus motherboards for it are cheaper) and gets comparable performance. Switching to AMD and going for a few cost saving (but not massively performance reduceing) measures, I can fit a RX6800 into this budget (instead of the 6700XT).

I'd get this:

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/GfwrmD

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.5 GHz 6-Core Processor     €134.90

ASRock B550M Phantom Gaming 4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard     €95.76

G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory     €30.90

Crucial P5 Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive     €104.99

XFX Speedster SWFT 319 Radeon RX 6800 16 GB Video Card     €407.99

Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L MicroATX Mini Tower Case     €51.80

Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply     €103.89

Total: €931.83

If you can find an extra €40 for your budget, I'd recommend switching out the 5600 for a 5700X and getting a cheap air cooler:
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/hm9TPF

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor     €172.99

Thermalright Assassin X 120 PLUS V2 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler     €29.99

...

Total: €992.31

This upgrade could also be achieved by only getting 1TB of storage (you can always add more later):

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/dwdndH

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor     €172.99

Thermalright Assassin X 120 PLUS V2 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler     €29.99

Crucial P5 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive     €56.29

...

Total: €943.61

Contact the seller of the motherboard before buying to check that the Bios is up to date.

Budget (including currency): 950€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: space engineer, rainbow six siege, Minecraft and some programming

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I currently only have Laptop.

This is my idea for the new PC: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/RZWL7R
It would be cool to play most games at 1440p, but I have no problem playing at 1080p.
The peripherals i need are not included in the budget, I will get them separately

Thank you for your feedback in advance.

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Trust but Verify! I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need. Expand this signature for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.
