Budget (none)

Country: us

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games(simulation games, witcher 3, city builder games, and more

Other details (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rdK64M)

this is my current pc build I have and I am wondering if it would be worth $450 to upgrade the gpu to a asus rog strix 3090 24gb that I found for sale locally or would my money be better spend on upgrading the cpu for instance (also i should note that I already have a ddr5 motherboard and ram both new that I have yet to use) thanks in advance for any replys/answers

Only thing I'm wary about is the 850w psu since transient spikes with the 30 series (and especially the 3090) will probs make your pc crash under load

Are your games running badly now because of vram limitations? I'd say a 7800 xt could be a good upgrade, since it's basically on par if not better than a 3080 which isn't far off a 3090

Honestly my system hasn't had any issues that I have noticed playing any games keep I'm mind that I haven't done any strenuous games on it as of late but I didn't even think if my power supply would be able to handle the 3090 gpu maybe il see what the 7800xt ones go for
