If you're running Windows 11, secure boot is required.

By disabling Secure Boot, that doesn't mean the laptop is able to boot from alternative media depending on the boot order in BIOS. Check to see if the laptop has an F key (F11, F12, etc) for one-time-boot options where you can select which device to boot from at startup.

Secure boot is not required I used to have a dualboot and turned off secure boot, windows still booted up just fine since OP is prolly dual booting Linux and windows he has to try to sign the drivers from the Ubuntu system so that the bios recognizes the OS as signed, there are a bunch of guides on that.

I don't actually have windows installed right now I just have Elementry os but even with my F12 boot menu it says secure boot fail when I try and boot something that doesn't support secure boot even though secure boot is off.
