New PC build

Go to solution Solved by ilikemacandpc,

CPU Cooler is overkill. Go with something like a be quiet shadow rock slim.

Then, upgrade the CPU to an FX 8320.

change the case to the Arc Midi R2 because it is just as good as the arc xl, and cheaper.

an enterprise hard drive is not needed. just get a regular seagate barracuda to save money.

everything else is alright.

Budget: 1000 - 1300 EURO

Location: Romania

Currency: RON (1 EURO = 4.4 RON)

Aim: Gaming

Monitors: 1

Peripherals: No, got my own.

Hey guys I'm thinking of building a new gaming PC, because my old one well, its pretty out of date and I was wondering if this setup is ok:

Fractal Design Arc XL

Corsair CS Series Modular CS650M

ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer

AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz

Corsair Hydro Series H110

EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclocked w/ EVGA ACX Cooler

Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SATA-III 2.5 inch SSD

Seagate Enterprise 1TB SATA-III 7200 RPM 128MB

Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1866MHz (2x4)

With this rig I'm all most at my budget limit, I'm also thinking of buying a new monitor with the rest.

So is there anything you would change?

I am also thinking about overclocking the CPU will the be quiet keep it at a good temp?

And the barracuda one is 2 euros cheaper than the enterprise one so I'm not saving a lot on that one :P

About the case its just a personal preference, going to keep it for a very long time ^_^.

But if i do change the cooler i could upgrade to and FX 8350 like in colec18's build or is that overkilling it again?

Well thank you i made up my mind.

Going to change the cooler to a be quiet dark rock 3 really love how it looks and it also has a pretty nice performance.

With the extra money going for a FX 8350 and no need to oc anymore.

Downgraded the hard drive, found a really cheap and good barracuda.

Still thinking about the case :P
