I just finished building my new pc. Everything turns on, but the GPU isn't detected. It is getting power and it turns on but not detected in task manager or Nvidia control panel. My display port is plugged into the gpu and I do get an output on the monitor.Everytime I try loading a game it crashes. I tried reseating the graphics card 3 times but didn't work. Once after reseating I forgot to plug in the pcie cable so the graphics card even displayed a red led indicating that it wasn't plugged in. I did have trouble putting the gpu in the slot. Didn't hear the reassuring click sound any of the times that I put it in. Would be grateful if someone could help me out.

You should try building your computer out of the case.

You seem to have a problem because your GPU may not be properly seated. This also means that maybe your motherboard is shorting on something that is misaligned in the case. By building out of the case, you make sure that these variables do not affect your computer.
