gaming on pc with controller

Just wondering if its possible to play pc games on a tv by connecting my pc to a tv using a hdmi cable and using a ps3 controller. Will there be any loss in resolution?

As long as your tv is 1080p u wont loose anything also of course u can play with a controller and if its a ps3 controller u dont need to buy anything extra except have a mini b usb cable which is the cable u use to charge the ps3 controller.

There will be no loss in resolution, but you will need the appropriate cable for the PS3 controller, and the drivers to allow it to work with windows. I actually do that a lot. Use "motioninjoy". That is a program that helps you to use your ps3 controller as a 360 controller, since most games support xbox 360 controllers.

i do that alot, but some EA games run on 800x600 resolution with some old TVs so if u get that just play in window mode.
