Yesterday my lenovo laptop blue screened and shutdown, when I rebooted it this error came up "default boot device missing or failed. Insert recovery media and hit any key. Then select boot manager to choose a new boot device or to boot recovery media" after pressing ok the laptop says boot manager failed and shuts down. I currently don't have a boot disk but it still seems odd the the boot manager failed, if anyone knows why this is happening could you please help I can access the BIOS but not the F8 boot options.

U could try changing ur BIOS boot priority's for example from ur 1st HDD to ur 2nd, and so on.. Does it work in safe mode?

I only have on HDD and I can't get in to safe mode right now. So I do think that will work.
