Have you tried another display just to ensure it's not the computer?? If so, the monitor is going bad.

Most of the time, the parts for a display is more than a whole new monitor.

My guess (not exactly sure) is it's the main board inside the monitor and not the panel itself (which is the most expensive part in a display). Have you tried another port, i.e. You normally use DisplayPort and try with HDMI to see if the issue still persists.

Well, you don't need to throw it in the trash even if you stop using if with your computer.

One quick idea could be to use it as a picture frame. You can even fix it to a wall with a small VESA mount or keep it on a desk since it already has a built-in stand.
