Data Problems...

Go to solution Solved by PixlRabt,

Sounds like it could be your sim card then, contact Optus  and ask for a new sim card as your current one is not work right, it should be free or cheap and easy to update your account to use the new sim card, after all sometime sim cards just get damaged or lost .

Sim card is working perfectly in the iPhone, and it works perfectly with everything but Instagram. In any case, I fixed the problem this morning by resetting the APN to default settings.

Hello internets,

So I've been battling for a while now with my S3. Sure, it is a little old, but its still lightning fast after the last software update and I enjoy using it. However, after using an iPhone for a period of about 5 weeks, returning to the S3 is proving to be difficult, with the S3 having problems with my sim. I'm from Australia, and am currently with a telecom called Optus. I love Optus for its amazing prepaid caps, and I've never had to speak to any one from Optus ever. My experience with the company has been a breeze, and so I wish to continue with them. However, Instagram refuses to work over mobile data now, and I am also fairly certain that Clash of Clans doesn't load over data either (not that a game is really all that important). Being able to use instagram no matter where I am was one of the reasons I purchased the phone in the first place two years ago, and is something I'm not willing to live without. I have tried a Telstra sim in my phone (courtesy of my mother) and everything loads fine. Instagram and CoC are the only affected apps as far as I know, and it really bothers me as I know that in the early days of using the iPhone I often went back and forth between them with zero problems. Does anyone know how I might rectify this issue?

Any advice, as always, is greatly appreciated :)
