Node 304 + NH-D15

Shatal

Hello

I am wondering if the NH-D15 is able to fit inside of the node 304. If you pull out the hard drive bays? If anyone know or own a Node 304 with NH-D14 who can respond with how tight it is in there :^)

Thanks!

it wont work because the Nh-d15 will cover the pci slot needed for the graphics card.

Looks like it will, although you'd need to take the front fan off I think.

Edit: Oh you said 15, I thought you said 14. No the D15 isn't compatible with any mITX board, the D14 will fit though.

i think that depends on the mobo, some makers do it right and puts the cpu socket high up which gives room for all the slots, not sure how well it works on mitx mobos tho but looking at one it should work if they put the socket at the top instead of down like idiots :P

It doesn't work on mITX boards, there isn't enough room at al. The D14 fit depending on the motherboard heatsinks and your RAM but the D15 is actually too wide.

MITX boards don't have the room to do that. they only have 1 slot and the cases have 2 slot openings, in other words only room for one card in one spot. meaning what I said is correct. It will not work.

Thanks a bunch for the quick replies everyone :) Very helpful!

To stay safe I'll go with a NH-D14.

Once again thanks for the replies :D

just check with the actual motherboard if it fits or not ...

The NH-D14 will NOT fit on all motherboards either....

According to Noctua it DOES work with Asrock mITX boards ...

Where did you find this? And do you know if any of the new Z97 ITX boards fit the NH-D15?

That is from noctua.at the motherboard support list of the NH-D15.

But although it might fit on the ASRock boards without blocking anything, it most likely overhangs the board in some way, thus not fitting in all cases.
