Hi everyone, after i saw the ltt video in wich they created a pc inside a table i thought it was a cool idea but really difficult, it was not until i saw the DIY Perks video in wich he does the same when i thought that it maybe was not as hard as i first think. I now have a not hugly powerfull pc wich i use for programming and different normal tasks, now i've a 5700G wit out any graphics card wich means it performs pretty good at multitasking but pretty bad at gaming. My plan is to buy a GPU in the future (maybe a secon-handed RX6600 or something like that). In the DIY Perks video he uses two sheets of aluminum 3mm thick and some wood around to add rigidity. My plan is to make the table thicker, about 70mm insted of 40 specially beacuse on this way i can use a normal SFX PSU insted of a 1U psu wich are a lot noisier. Also that will allow me to not have to cut a hole for the cpu cooler. I'll use most of the components i now have and i will buy a (maybe second handed) noctua NH-L9x65 SE-Am4 wich without the fan will fit perfectly (i think) in my table and won't interfeer with my ram, i'm also going to buy a SFX power supply and maybe some fans (i already have a good noctua and 5 or 6 cheap ones). My plan is to put the fans puting air in in one said, then the mobo forcing air pass throught the cooler with some plastic strpis, and then most of the table in wich (one day) i'll put my GPU, then the PSU (taking fresh air from botton and letting it go one side) and also i've planed to include a powerstrip so i don't have it hanging from the table but inside it accesing it from the bottom. In the video he hangs everything from the top but since i don't one to make so much countersunk screw holes i'm gonna put it in the bottom. For I/O appart from the mobo one wich will be accesed in the same way as in the video i've planned to take out the frot i/o of my actual case and make a hole in the table for it. After the air has passed the mobo it will be expelled out throught some holes in the bottom.

I've some questions:

Do u think that if i put the components on the bottom it will affect rigidity, should i use 4mm or 5mm thick sheets? I've found an spanish (i'm from spain) place in wich u can get sheets with various holes in it saving me work but instead of aluminium they use "alupanel" is it as rigid as normal aluminum or it won't work?

Also is a good idea to use aluminium for the top panel? Ideally i'd like to have some transparent material one one said and on the other some veneer so is there any material as rigid as aluminum, more or less same cost, transparent, wich lets wireless charge throuht it (since id love to have that ikea wireless charger inside my table), easy to work with and maybe easier to stick the veneer to?

Also i've thinked of using the bottom I/O access that he uses in the video but i'd prefeer to have it throught one side. Would this cause a huge lost in rigidity or something like that? Also for making the holes for the power strip, the fans and all that i don't know how big i can make them until it becomes an structural problem...

Finally i'd apreciate any recommendations on any materials, legs for the table or basically anything just note that i would want a 160x80cm desk and i'm trying to spend as little as posible. I'm sorry for all the spelling mistakes (i'm not a native english speaker) and for writing such a long text. Thank all of u a lot.

I'm sorry if i made any spelling mistakes, i'm not an English speaker.

It wouldn't be a computer table desk if the components were installed on the outside bottom of the desk.

I'm sorry i haven't explained my self i'm talking about installing them in the bottom sheet of aluminium but facing inside the desk instead of what DIY perks did on the video wich was hung everything from the top sheet facing inside the desk.
