Hi, I've come across a pretty inexpensive HDD that is only 1700 RSD, or about 16 dollars. I need space for games since 1 SSD of 250GB is nothing compared to new games, but I don't want the HDD to make them lag. so, is this a wise choice? https://bazzar.rs/p/D6E4MM4-hdd-3-5-500gb-wd5000aurx-wd-av-24-7-intellipower-64mb-sata3

If that's not a great option I'd appreciate if you take your time and browse that site a bit and tell me what's great price and performance HDD available there.

That's an old hard drive, which was designed for security cameras and DVRs. It's going to be slow even by mechanical hard drive standards. At that price I expect it to be a used drive pulled from an old DVR, so it has run for many, many, many hours.

Look for a WD Black or Blue drive, those were designed for desktop PCs. (They'll all be slower than even a basic SSD, but whether the trade-off is worth it will be up to your budget and parts availability in your area.)

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Its RPM is 5400, one of the slowest speeds you can get that's why its so cheap, get a 7200 and up. And don't play the games on the HDD unless they are older titles that it won't make a difference, transfer it to the ssd for faster load times. Move the game/s that you'r not playing to the HDD. Or if you're just looking to store games get an external HDD, or a bigger SSD in an enclosure to use as external.
