So I was playing a game yesterday and my pc just shut off and does not turn on anymore. Does someone know what the problem is and how I can solve it? I narrowed the problem down a bit:

I don't think it's a power supply issue because if I plug in a USB device it turns on. Not only that, but I also don't think my motherboard is broken because I hear a click if I try to turn it on. Any help on what to do next would be appreciated. Here are my pc specs:

Intel core I5 13400

geforce rtx 3070 ti

corsair ram ddr4

Aorus p750W Power supply

B660 Ds3h DDR4 Gigabyte motherboard

The only thing you can do is open your case and check if any cables are loose, such as the cpu power cable if there is one, your harddrive, and especially the motherboard power cable (the big one with 24 pins). Even if they seem fine, try reseating the cables. Please also give information on your mobo and other components it might help me and others that join this topic.

I'm going to still say power supply here.  The clicking you are likely hearing is the power supply circuitry kicking in to protect the components.  I've never heard a motherboard, "click" anything.   Remember your psu has 3 voltages:  3.3, 5, and 12.  Just b/c the 5v works to power your usb device doesn't mean the others are good.  Only way to know for sure is to get a psu tester.

I always hear the clicking sound when i start my pc. My pc might have been broken from the start?

Should be either PSU or board issue

Are the fans spinning when you start, and some lights turn on on the board, fans or GPU ?

Replace the PSU with a good model.  Gigabyte psu's are bad and should always be avoided.  RMA it and then sell it for whatever you can get out of it, or don't RMA it and throw it in the dumpster.  A reputable model from Corsair or EVGA won't steer you wrong.  Corsair RM 750x or a EVGA 850w GA are psu's I've used personally and can vouche for.

I don't know if you mean my motherboard, but my power supply is something else. (See post)

Yeah I saw it.  Gigabyte power supplies are junk.

Not the Aorus, there was one batch of them that was defective sure, but they're rated B tier at PSUCultists list

And OP didn't experience the explosion for the defective unit

@NOTHING456 if you don't have any means to test your PSU (on another PC, with tools..) get another and try powering your PC

If it still don't work then it's the board 😛
