In Boot > CSM (Compatibility Support Module):

  • Set "Launch CSM" to "Disabled"

In Boot > Secure Boot:

  • Set "OS Type" to "Windows UEFI Mode"

Hey guys I just did a fresh install of windows on an nvme drive and now I have 1.6 TB of unallocated space and I cannot extend the volume as it's greyed out. does anyone know how to fix this?? Thank you!

In the Boot tab of your BIOS:

  • Set CSM to "Disabled"
  • Set Boot Devices Control to "UEFI only"

Afterwards, reinstall Windows. You're running into a limitation of an MBR formatted drive, which are created by using non-UEFI installation media.

I can give you specific instructions if you give me your motherboard model, I'm going off the motherboard listed in your profile.

A quick Google search seems to indicate MBR partitioned drives have a max partition size of 2TB.

Is your drive in MBR by any chance?
