I’m planing to upgrade my gpu 6800xt and cpu 5800x that can handle well 1440p. I was thinking on the 7800xt and 5800x3d.

I saw few brands on Newegg but not sure if they are good as well (sapphire, XFX,power color).

what would be the best option or what is recommended in this situation?

5800x3d.

there's no need for that right now since the 5800X is more than capable enough for the 7800 xt at 1440p

this is your current gpu? Don't spend your money on the 7800 xt since you get about a 5% performance increase and you'll be wasting your money

is your budget 500 bucks? I think you should hold off since the 6800 xt is still good for 1440p

Greetings,

long-short story, I have to return the gpu because is making coil whine and unfortunately this is my second time having the same issues. I just want to change it to something that could handle 1440 without have to downgrade to 1080 to not hear the sound and gpu using 100% or touching it.

I though that 7800xt but not sure if this is a good option. I have to return the gpu having 500 for other one and I can extend de buck a little bit and hopped the 5800x can handle it.

At the moment I’ll stick with the setup that I currently have I just think on change the gpu and cpu if is necessary, if not I’ll wait until a good price.

thanks in advance!
