If you haven't already played Portal and Portal 2, I will never not recommend those.

Cave Story is another classic that I thoroughly enjoy and recommend.

Portal Stories: Mel is my second favorite game, I think it's better than the official ones.

Okay, so here's my top list:

1. Black Mesa (Windows/Linux, $20 Steam)

2. Portal Stories: Mel (Windows/Linux, Free as long as you own Portal 2 on Steam)

3. The Mast (Yes, it's a fucking Scratch game, here's a compiled version that runs the best)

4. Half-Life: Blue Shift ($5 Steam, Windows/Linux)

5. Entropy: Zero 2 (Windows/Linux, free as long as you own Half-Life 2 on Steam)

6. We Happy Few (Everything, $5 Steam). This one is probably a bit controversial, but I just really like the story of this game. I feel like the genius storytelling pretty much outweighs the lacking gameplay.

7. Cats Are Liquid: A Better Place ($2 Steam, free with minimal ads on mobile). I'd recommend playing the first game first, it's called A Light in the Shadows

8. DOOM Eternal (Everything)

9. Quake ($10 Steam)

10. Half-Life 2 ($10 Steam)

So I kind of stopped playing games alone a long time ago and need a few suggestions what to play now alone. No fps games and strategy ones anything else I am okay with. Good graphics are not important as long as the game is fun. Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you all in advance!

Subnautica

Terraria

Assassins creed unity

Hogwarts legacy

(Literally just took some of my most played games that fit what you wanted XD)

Hogwarts legacy and red dead I have not played the other ones I have I was more so looking for games that are not AAA titles because before I stopped playing alone I only played those games and fps games.

My choices are probably good then, I don't really play AAA games. I think I only have two on my list.

Heard a few people mention this one. So I go to steam to wishlist it and do some research later. It's already in my library! Gotta love when that happens. Classic steam hoarding pays off again.

Which ones? I'm curious.

We happy few and doom eternal. The others I have not played ever. Currently the game I am having the most fun in is sun haven but I do not want to burn myself out so I am searching for a few more if you would like to play some games together feel free to add me on steam friend invite code: 299572844 .I do not buy a lot of games but there is probably something in my library that we can play together.

Cool. I'm rarely online, but I'll save that. I might add you in about a week or something. My library is public if you wanna have a look. I use the captainquirk26 username on Steam as well.

I also find it funny that you don't want suggestions for AAA games and yet the only ones I mentioned that you played were the two AAA games in the list X3

Well that is why I wanted something else that is not them because I am tired of only playing those games only recently have I switched over from them.

It's worth noting that many of the games I mentioned are sequels or mods and therefore you should play the originals first, although while I'd recommend playing the entire HL2 trilogy before Entropy: Zero 2, the first Entropy Zero game sucks, and has next to no story, so don't bother with that one. I was just saying what my favorites are.

If you own Skyrim, then Enderal is quite a good game for a mod. Completely different world, but lengthy enough to be considered a game if it own.

I do own skyrim so I will try that after a few other games Thank you!

Purists like me will say not to play the Steam version, and the freeware version is the true version(I linked the freeware in my comment above). I agree with this review on Steam for Cave Story+: https://steamcommunity.com/id/polocatfan/recommended/200900/

Still, that's pretty slick! It's happened to me on many occasions as well where I'll hear about a game, go look it up, and find out I already have it.

Don't own Condition Zero, not sure where "Deleted Scenes" is coming from.
