My newish system won't do anything anymore. I turned it off last night after using it like I normally do with no issues. I went to turn it on this morning and the only thing that happens is the power supply makes a click (It's always done that I believe). I get no display and none of the fans spin. The debug lights on the motherboard also don't do anything but the built in rgb strip is on.

I've unplugged everything and have done a CMOS reset with no luck.

Specs:

Asus Tuf b550M-PLUS wifi

Ryzen 7 5700x

Radeon RX6700xt

32gb corsair ram

1tb WD black ssd

Is there a PSU fan? If so, does it spin? I'd also check your 24 pin connector.

I try to be respectful. If I ever come off in a different manner, I probably don't mean to. If I don't help you sorry, if I do, mark my comment as the solution.

I'm not sure. It's a 700 watt that was given to me by a friend who upgraded his.

If the issue isn't any of your hardware or an error by, you it is most likely something wrong with the power supply. I would take it out and first try reseating and cables. If that doesnt work then go to best buy or what ever tech store and grab a fresh unit. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Something I forgot to mention is the power supply buzzed when under heavy graphic loads. It was very rare that I had this problem since as an adult there is no such thing as free time but im assuming I was running it at the ragged edge. It just seems odd that it would give out while the system was shut down.

Sometimes when your computer turns off it stays on and windows puts it in sleep mode. Also if you have any lights on your pc the power supply would still be powering that anyway.
