So yea, I wanted to talk a bit about the Mobile Haswell CPU's. When will the laptops with Haswell CPU's be released? How hard will they differ from Ivy Bridge CPU's when looking at both battery life and power?

Backstory: I'm currently looking for a laptop. I found the perfect one (Asus N56VB with i5 and 740m), but it's not for sale and Asus is saying it probably won't be in my region for a while or might not even be available at all. The alternatives are either too expensive or don't have a great screen. Since it looks like I won't be able to get it anytime soon, I might need to wait for the next generation to buy a laptop that fits my needs. I notice that laptop manufacturers are really slowing down and are already taking down older models. I wanted to know if the Haswell laptops would release before I actually need one, and if there is enough of a difference to actually wait that much longer, if the N56VB ever gets released.

EDIT: It belonged in CPU's

Soon after haswell's release. Computer manufacturers like to quickly release laptops with the newest CPU's so they can use that as an advertisement point. June 2, a lot more info on Haswell will be released as the embargo will be fully lifted (according to tek syndicate).

Ryzen 5 1500x, Noctua NH-L9x65 SE-AM4, GA-AB350N, 16GB 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 970, 250GB Samsung 960 Evo, 120GB Samsung 840 Evo, 1TB WD Green & 2TB Seagate Barracuda. 650w OCZ ZX & Cooler Master Elite 130. Acer CB241HQK 4K, LG IPS234V-PN 1080p, Ducky Zero Shine All Blue/Anne Pro Brown/SteelSeries Apex Pro & Razer Naga 2014

I didn't know where exactly to post this, but since this is more of a general discussion on all of the Haswell CPU's and laptop manufacturers, I decided to post it here.

moved to CPU's

After Haswell releases, laptops manufacturers will start to make Haswell laptops. I will be expecting longer battery life with a lower capacity battery because their idle power is very low on desktops so it be probably the same on laptops.
