I have an msi alpha 15, R 5800h and Rx 6600m. So I reinstalled my windows and did all the driver stuff. I went to the amd website and downloaded my GPUs drivers from and website and installed the latest ones which are currently 23.9.3 downloaded the adrenaline file cause the auto detect thing doesn't work for me always gives me an error. Anyways after installation the PC still wouldn't recognize the GPU and only after I uninstalled the drivers using DDU and installed the drivers from the msi support section, which are an year old,  did it pick up the GPU . The problem is even if I update it again from the amd website it doesn't work, my games still perform according to the old drivers. Absolutely made me hate amd. Please help me out cause I just bought this laptop and the old drivers are bad, they over heat the cpu and can't play rdr 2. Thanks.

You skipped a step.

The first thing you need is the driver for the iGPU on the CPU

https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-mobile-processors-radeon-graphics/amd-ryzen-7-5800h

Then you need the chipset drivers:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/socket-fp5-mobile/amd-ryzen-and-athlon-mobile-chipset

And then the driver for the 6600M

https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-6000m-series/amd-radeon-rx-6000m-series/amd-radeon-rx-6600m

Not necessarily in that order.

You need to contact AMD for support...

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

Hardware ID, can be found in the device manager and some other tools.

Does it still do this? Maybe change your power profile?
