Hello,

since a few weeks my games keep crashing.

In Valorant for example it crashes most of the time when I load into a map or when I switch sides.

In Fortnite it crashes when I'm dropping in.

In Rainbow Six it crashs at no certain point.

Things I have done to try to fix it:

  • Reinstalled Windows 3x on different SSDs
  • Updated BIOS
  • Tried a older GPU driver
  • Tried anther GPU
  • Tried both RAM dimms independently in a differnt RAM slot.

I have no clue anymore what I could do to fix it. It might be my mainboard or my CPU but I would like to have input from you guys.

In the attachment is my MSInfo and a crash log from Fornite. In Fortnite is seams like it can't load a picticular asset. I could also provide a memory dump from a valorant crash, if you would like me to.

Thank you for the help!

Specs on your system?

Also, when it crashes does it go back to windows or is the whole system freezing/crashing?

First attempt would be to remove all but one stick of RAM and see if the problem still exists, and if not start moving it into every slot to make sure they all work. Then repeat with the second/third/fourth stick.

Disabling XMP could also be a good step, depending on which processor/RAM.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick response!

I got in my System:

i9 13900k

Corsair H150i (old Platinum)

MSI RTX 3070TI Gaming x Trio

MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI

32GB 6000-40 Trident Z5 RGB

I have tried to use both sick in the same slot which the manuel says is for singel DIMMs and it still crashed but I will try the other ones too.

I will come back to this if it didn't work ( might be two weeks because I'm gonna be on vacation the next two weeks)

Sound strategy, but testing all slots is just to exclude that one channel is dead or has a bad connector.

Otherwise, check your PSU wattage (brown outs causing instability) and if the crashes only occur under load you could try to check with a CPU benchmark (e.g. cinebench) vs a GPU benchmark which component seems to cause it.

Oh and I forgot to say I ran Memtest86+ and I got no erros on both DIMMs.

And I'm also now trying the 8x PCIe slot of my Mainboard
