Unplug ALL external devices from your computer. (ALL)

Wait for a minute, then remove the button (cell) battery (carefully, don't pry it and accidentally score the motherboard or other components with a screwdriver) from the motherboard.

Wait for two minutes (don't skip this!)

Plug the button battery back in (the right way around!)

Plug the power and the screen (no more items!) back in

Turn on the computer.

that will just bios reset, if he has a CPU newer than the newest CPU it supports, you may end up with MORE problems than that solves

Nope, this will not "revert" to an incompatible/older BIOS - it will NOT cause more issues.

I have removed  the cmos all ready the only part I haven't done is disconnect all the drives would that make a difference.

try using a secondary display output, maybe its your GPU dying in the most inconvenient time, and when you turn on your PC, do the fans spin, or does nothing happen?
