So i recently used a command in the notepad to remove the Activate windows watermark, cause I'm poor. Anyways, ever since that my monitors will randomly turn off like once or twice in 6 hours. And they wont come back on until I restart my PC. Sometimes the activate windows watermark will be there, then my monitors turn off, I restart pc and its gone. So my only conclusion is its the command.

  • @echo off

  • taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe

  • explorer.exe

  • exit

is the command?? that I used.

if you kill explorer.exe you basically disable your explorer which is your file manager and your interface if you will. That is not how to remove the watermark. I cannot tell you how to remove it here but there are other ways. But honestly why don't you get a Win 10 key, they can be had for a couple of bucks.

There's a way to activate windows without buying or use those commands, it's not legal so I can't really spell it out on how or where you could get it, but it also involves scripts. And you could find it on a site that is famous for hosting open source scripts.

I didn't want to spell it out because I'd be somewhat advising him to pirate windows and how to do it, so I just gave hints. But since you said it anyway, yes. I've been using it since win 10 came out, never had issue.

ahh alright! I don't really see the point of it though. The keys are not really expensive.

Depends on where you live, ability to purchase with credit card, etc.

Me? I'm just cheap, if something could be free, why pay for it? Exceptions are for things that I think deserves my money, like great games. Microsoft already earns money by collecting my information and use them to give me targeted ads, why would I pay for their OS?
